RJ Nitin from Red FM 93.5 discriminated Prashant Tamang and made foul comments against Nepali Community.
He said:
Aaaj Prashant Tamang ‘Nepali ladka from Darjeeling’ has become Indian Idol ‘with sarcastic laugh’… and we have match tonight so we need to guard our house / malls / restaurants by ourselves as there will be no Nepali People to guard these place and whole night we need to say “Jagtay Raho”. He also added that all the Footpath momo shops will remain closed as Nepali guy has become Indian Idol.
It’s really disheartening to hear all these stuff. When called to Red Fm the same moment…however… they tried to twist the topic. It’s really amazing that…Whenever someone calls them black or what ever… the whole India burns but they never try to put themselves in our shoes.
We claim to be in the most democratic country and we call ourselves democrat but are we treated in the way we are supposed to be? If somebody calls Shilpa Shetty “Black” the whole nation is ignited but are we aware of the scenario in our own motherland……

It was extremely depressing to watch violent demonstrations and army flag marches on account of a television singing contest. And if you ask me, the racist slur on the Indian Idol winner over a radio station was a situation simply waiting to happen, it was always a matter of time. And this is because most of our FM stations have lost the plot. In order to garner listenership figures (can’t they simply play the music, even non-stop Himmeshbhai will do) channel heads have been busy hiring zombies as radio jocks. Whose only job is to cackle hysterically, and the more they cackle, the more they get paid. I guess radio stations believe people stuck in traffic jams are in a foul mood and need to be uplifted by inane chatter on the air. I don’t know about you, darling, but when I suffer from road rage, the lunacy on the FM stations turns that into rabid road fury… I once smashed my brand new car deck, only because I couldn’t handle the non-stop gassing. So like I said, it was always going to be a matter of time before some radio bozo crossed the limit, and that’s what happened in Prashant Tamang’s case. And once the singer’s fans understand that the comments were passed by a cackling moron, perhaps they’ll cool down a bit.

It is indeed really disgusting to know what RJ Nitin said!! But guys what I feel, he didnt only make a comment on Prashant Tamang but has passed a derogatory comment on the Nepalese community at large. Its really painful to know that in our own country which we love so dearly………we are thought of in such a manner.

What Nitin said on air is an insult to more than 10 million Nepali speaking Indian citizens!Let us not forget that the Gorkha Rilfle battalions in India are still known as the backbone of the Indian army!Comments like the one Nitin made are an insult to the entire Gorkha population and let us also not forget those brave Gorkhlai soldiers who have died defending this country!

my sis studys electronic and mass communications(engineering) at delhi university.all my cousins study various fields of engineering, and do quite prosperous jobs and are successful.my other cousins are now british citizens and are doing accounts and management in Britain.

EXCUSE ME. nitin is an AMAZING rj. i DO NOT deny that what he said abt the nepali society was atrocious and sickeningly racist but that was ONE time. i don’t think that u r frm delhi coz if u were then u would lisin 2 his program every morning and u’d noe what a nice MAN he is. he not only talks abt GUD stuff on d radio but also comments on XTREMELY controversial subjects with pure boldness and clarity and d things he says NOWADAYS ARE very wise. he is TOTALLY against abuse of ANY type and also discrimination. the print media just wants news and what is more interesting is that only journos frm mumbai and other places hu have NEVER heard him r typing this, when mostly the news writers frm Delhi r quieter abt it. what he did WAS SCANDALOUS and PLAIN CHEAP, but the fact is that now he IS sorry abt it and he is become a very mature rj and does not do such CHEAP things anymore. he doesnt just say stuff 2 entertain ppl anymore, he is more choosy and wise abt vat he says. i noe dat all u ppl R very hurt bcoz of vat he said but vat IS more important is that he has improved. he faulted and he realized and he works agnst it now. he has grown up and matured as an rj and he is more cautious now. and becoming bttr after faulting and apologizing for it is a work of a completely non – egoistic man. think abt those shivsena idiots hu say cheap stuff and never realize and apologize, at least nitin is ready to improve. every one deserves a second chance, and nitin is using it amazingly well and i think u should try and lisin to him without any bias and u’ll realize that he now is completely different on that matter and has become quite a HUMANIST!

It has been ages that we have been stereotyped as the “Badhur” in every part of the country…but these people don’t understand the fact that these same “badhur”… are the ones that has the highest no of gallantry awards in the army the Gorkha army is the most prestigious battalion in the army….So when Mr. Nitin sleeps holding his balls at the comfort of his home…there is a Gorkha guarding his ass at the back in the border that he is not kicked by the Pakistani or the Chinese back home…..India is a demographic country and it has all communities of people living in it why cant they take Nepalese as one of them….we have given our blood and sweat for this land and have proved out worth…..and with ages we have moved forward in all direction…today we have doctors, engineers, scientist, IAS officers, social worker who have proved their worth in their own ways…if Mr. Nitin does not know this its his lack of knowledge….and the Radio company should shack him for his incompetence….!!!!

RJ Nitin- Real name Jonathan Brady used to work as a Security Assistant with KLM-NORTHWEST Airlines from Sep2000-OCt2001 at the Indira Gandhi Airport , how can call Gurkhas as Chowkidaar when he has work in the same capacity some years back. He used to be a standing guard for 2 hours whenevr KLM-Northwest Plane would land guarding the aircraft till it took off again, i know this cause he was my colleague and iam ashamed that I worked along with him. He was a loud mouth then and still continues to be, has not changed a bit, he was ridiculed many times at the office for this behaviour, sadly so far he has not matured. He thinks he is over smart and can po fun at anyone.
I want him to be punished.

The history and pride of gorkhas are not that mere that an stupid RJ can spoil it,He probably doesn’t know what GORKHA means.Only a gorkha can give his life for a friend and ofcourse can take life for a friend.Its seems RJ nitin is not well so i would request all the gorkhas of every part of world to send flowers to RJ nitin with a note “GET WELL SOON MAMU”.You RJ Nitin next time onwards dont mess with GORKHAS because we believe in “LOVE TILL LIFE,FIGHT TILL DEATH”.
